As the famous burlesque-era stripper, Gypsy Rose Lee, said to open her wildly popular act, "Let Me Entertain You" and entertain she did. Her audiences loved her even though she was never completely nude, but then her appeal never was about raw sex. She gave her fans something better, something even more enticing. She created the illusion that if they followed her every move, listened to her every clever word, what they desired, what they needed, would be "revealed!"
