Having been in the writing/publishing game for close to 30 years, I couldn't help but notice how rare it is for any author to pen a bestselling book unless they happen to be media famous. That being the reality of the business, personally I nurtured by love of writing/reading/publishing by not only writing books myself, but by assisting local authors achieve their dreams of literary success.
Actually, I've modified my dream of literary success to mostly include the work I do with other authors. To be in this business you have to be patient. Charting the course of a book project often years, even decades elapse from the inception stage to the published book with the author out on a successful book tour and every author seems to have their unique cycle during which they can pen a book before moving on to the next project.
The current Heritage Press project involves two authors who after 8-10 years working on the manuscript arranged for Heritage Press to publish their debut novel in 2015. A triolgy was planned, the second book title chosen, HAWTHORN MOON, and authors, despite every good intention, got caught up in their busy professional lives and here it is, 2025, and they are finally getting serious about completing Book II, in the Hazel Moon Trilogy Series, Hawthorn Moon! The authors are planning a short book tour to launch their novel in the spring of 2026.
